The documentary, “Hard Work,” was one of the first two films ever to win a special award after the Oscars was established in 1942. It was once a sensation in the West. The film truly records the real scene of the people’s armed forces who defied violence and resilience during the period from 1937 to 1941 in the reigns of the KMT and the occupied areas and has extremely important historical value. However, after World War II, due to unknown reasons the film was forgotten, or almost lost, even more unknown in China. In 2009, Chinese-American producer Ms. Robin Long, finally find the film, and thus be able to see the sun again. In July 2014, Robin Long came to Chongqing with his “hard work” and made his debut in China for the first time. From 1937 to 1941 and from June to October 1936, the three Americans left a true account of the entire Chinese people’s war of resistance against Japan in their history through the lens and the pen ends. This is what Li Ling-Ai and Ray Scott encountered with their “bitter” Dry, “Edgar Snow and his” Red Star Shine in China. "
