由于木偶戏与真人戏的长期相互影响,木偶戏扮演的主要内容多数为戏曲剧目。戏曲涂面、画脸的人物形象,从根本上影响了木偶戏的人物造型。近几十年来,中国木偶戏已由民间班社逐步走向专业化剧团,木偶戏的演出亦从露天草台走进剧场,发展成为综合艺术的剧场艺术。各木偶剧团都有自己专职的木偶造型艺术工作者,他们不仅具有良好的专业技艺和造型艺术修养,而且通晓木偶与表演艺术的关系。可以根据剧本内容、情节和人物性格,通过自己的审美意识,设计、制作出适应表演需要的最佳木偶造型。
Due to the long-term interaction between puppet shows and live-action plays, most of the main contents of puppet shows are opera plays.
