商周青铜器上有一种与鼻子相似的纹样(图1),所处位置与饕餮纹相同,常位于“鸟纹”、“夔纹”、“虎纹”、“蚕纹”中间,出现频率很高,尤其多见于西周时期的青铜器上。这种纹样在日本学者林已奈夫编著的《殷周时代青铜器纹样的研究》一书中就有一百多种。鉴于这种纹样还没有统一的称谓,为了论述的方便,本文权且将它命名为“鼻纹”。那么,这种纹样的含义是什么呢?
