在2007年西班牙奥维耶多举行的第23届国际应用地球化学学术讨论会上,中国地质科学院物化探研究所名誉所长谢学锦院士荣获国际应用地球化学家协会金奖。国际应用地球化学家协会金奖是国际勘查地球化学界的最高奖项。该奖项是国际应用地球化学家协会的前身国际勘查地球化学家协会1990年设立的,授予在勘查地球化学领域取得杰出科学成就的科学家。自设立17年以来,至今只颁发了3次,仅有4人获奖。
At the 23rd International Symposium on Applied Geochemistry at Oviedo, Spain, in 2007, Academician Xie Xuejin, Honorary Director of the Institute of Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences won the Gold Award of the International Association of Applied Geochemicalians. International Association of Applied Geochemists Gold Award is the highest award in the international exploration geochemistry. The award was established by the predecessor of the International Association of Applied Geochemists Association in 1990 by the International Association of Exploration Geochemists and awarded to scientists who achieved outstanding scientific achievements in the field of exploration geochemistry. Since its establishment 17 years ago, it has been awarded only 3 times and only 4 people have won prizes.
