2009年2月6日,西双版纳傣族自治州景洪市基诺山基诺族乡太阳广场歌声悠扬,鼓声阵阵,笑声爽朗……纪念国家确认基诺族30周年暨欢庆2009年“特懋克”节活动在此隆重举行。1979年6月6日,国务院正式确认基诺族为我国的第56种民族,这是基诺族发展史上的一个重要里程碑。30年来,在各级党委、政府的领导下,通过基诺山乡各族群众的团结奋斗,基诺山乡经济社会各项事业发生了巨大变化,基础设施得到根本改善,农民收入持续增长,生活水平不断提高,绝大多数群众摆脱了贫困,部分群众过上了小康生活。2008年,基诺山乡农村经济总收入5799万元,比30年前增长了59倍,农民人均纯收入2388元,比30年前增长了21倍。30年来,基诺族优秀传统文化得到了保护、继承和弘扬,基诺族人民的宗教信仰和传统风俗习惯得到了切实尊重;基诺族群众坚定地维护边疆稳定和民族团结,民族关系不断发展,民族团结不断巩固,基诺山乡形成了各民族共同团结奋斗、共同繁荣发展的良好局面。抚今追昔,往事历历。时隔30年,杜玉亭教授作为基诺族识别和认定的亲历者和见证人,为我们把中国第56个民族识别、认定的历程徐徐展现。
