When a Frenchman who lived in Manhattan for many years left New York, he wrote: The first impression of coming to New York City is that it is a dirty and ugly city that can not be overstated. Wall Street shops obsolete, the cold wind blowing Hudson, people are expensive. After a long stay, I found out that this is a city where prices are falling all year round. The stores open for seven days a week without any rest. (In France, the government stipulates that prices will be reduced only twice a year, and stores will not open on Sundays.) There are so many clear days in the sky, even in winter (Paris, all the year round it rains, less sunny). Together with the cherry blossoms on the riverside, the inhabitants of the Upper Manhattan, the national cuisine ... unfortunately I’m leaving the city.
