The first quarter of this year, the United States is still prevailing style of mergers, but compared with the previous, there are the following five new trends. First, a substantial reduction in the number of mergers. In the past 10 years, the climax of the U.S. mergers in enterprises reached 1,508 a month in July-August 1998, and has been declining since then. The reason is that easy mergers have been merged, and the rest are hard to chew the bones. Third, the total assets of mergers rose sharply. From January to March this year, the total monthly mergers amounted to nearly 180 billion U.S. dollars. This is because mergers and acquisitions of small companies are all merged. Only a single online transaction with Warner totaled as much as 181.9 billion U.S. dollars. The average transaction volume of 236 million U.S. dollars is far higher than in any previous year.
