I. Introduction In 1956, Okazaki conducted a survey on the forest work laws of European and American countries. The findings of the survey were of great benefit to our country’s forestry. As measured by the growth cycle of trees, we can not say that we have been very long in the 20 years since the survey was conducted. However, the drastic changes in social and economic conditions during this period inevitably affected the Forest Law. In view of this, we conducted another survey using the same method as the previous one, and conducted an exploratory study on the latest developments in the forest work law. Here, I would like to express my heart-felt gratitude to the researchers and technical workers from all countries who will soon receive their responses and Professor Emeritus Okazaki WEN Bin of Kyoto University, who have all along promised to translate French and Spanish.
