老子的学术思想是围绕着名、礼、道等议题展开的。“名”作为人类识认自然、规范社会的秩序产物,在僭礼求名的时代演变为扰乱社会的祸害之源;“礼”作为调整人伦秩序的符码曾维护了西周王朝的稳定,但是礼崩乐坏之后,礼学符号系统不仅沦为一种没有所指内容的空洞能指,而且成为争权夺利者的工具;“道”是老子关于宇宙本原及终极规律的形上思考,道法自然则是芟除名利、礼义符号对人心智的束缚,表现在形式上即是去符号化,让人过一种本质直观的“自然”的生活。
