大连地处辽东半岛南端,是我国北部亚欧大陆桥的桥头堡,是东北亚的经济战略要地。大连的城市总体规划确定城市性质为:“我国北方沿海重要的中心城市和港口城市,文化、体育、旅游及现代产业协调发展的国际名城。”本次规划的小窑湾中心区位于大连经济技术开发区,定位为大连的城市副中心。本次概念规划分别从经济地理、自然地理、人文地理的角度进行构思,并且对交通支撑进行了研究。
Located at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula, Dalian is the bridgehead of the Eurasian Continental Bridge in the northern part of China and is the economic strategic point of Northeast Asia. The overall urban planning of Dalian determines the nature of the city as: “an international city famous for the coordinated development of major cities and port cities in the northern coastal areas of China, culture, sports, tourism and modern industries.” The planned Xiaoyao Bay Central District is located in Dalian Economic and Technological Development Zone, positioned as Dalian city center. The concept of planning from the economic geography, natural geography, human geography point of view, and carried out a study of traffic support.
