解放以来,随着社会主义建设的发展,长江中下游的河道整治工作也相应迅速发展。五十年代初期,主要是配合1949年洪水后的堵口复堤和加固堤防而进行护岸工程。五十年代后期,成立了荆江、汉口和南京河床实验站,开展长江河道观测研究工作,并进行河道整治规划方案研究工作。六十年代初期,除继续进行局部河段的护岸工程外,还提出了荆江系统裁弯规划和长江中下游河道整治规划。六十年代中后期,下荆江中洲子和上车湾裁弯工程相继实施,这是有计划的整治长江中下游河道的开端.这个时期还明确提出了各个河段应首先制订河势控制规划,以适应防洪、航运和工农生产各部门近期的要求,在此基础上进一步制订河段全面整治规划。七十年代及以后时期中,南京等河段的护岸工程已经在河势控制规划指导下实施。下荆江裁弯工程的顺利实施,为在长江这样的大河上进行河道整治工程积累了经验.此外,长江航道局、南京水利科学研究所、武汉水利电力学院、南京大学和中国科学院地理研究所等单位对长江中下游河床演变、河流地貌和泥沙运动特性等方面也进行了大量研究工作。 Since the liberation, along with the development of socialist construction, the river regulation work in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River has also developed rapidly correspondingly. In the mid-to-late 1960s, the projects of cutting down the Zhongzhouzi and Shangchaowan under the Jingjiang River were carried out one by one, which is the beginning of a planned remediation of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. This period also made clear that river control plans should be formulated first for all river sections, In order to meet the flood control, shipping and industrial and agricultural production departments of the recent requirements, on the basis of further development of comprehensive planning for the river section. In the 1970s and beyond, the bank protection works in Nanjing and other rivers have been implemented under the guidance of the river regime control plan. The successful implementation of the Jingjiang Cut-bend Project has accumulated experience for river improvement works on such large rivers as the Yangtze River.
