To estimate genetic and reproductive risks of low-doses heavy ion irradiation,Mature Kunming female mice were exposed to 0,0.05,0.1,0.2,0.5 and 1 Gy of ~(12)C~(6+)ion.The DNA double-strand breaks and antioxidant status in testis were detected 12 h,21 and 35 d after irradiation.Results showed no negative influence was found in testis of mouse whole irradiated with 0.05 and 0.1 Gy ~(12)C~(6+).Instead,the sperm count slightly increased and DSBs formation decreased in 0.05 and 0.1 Gy at 21 d.And there was an obvi-
