对于概念“一种书”,目前图书馆界还没有给出严格的定义。“著录项目即记录的每个项目完全相同者才称得上是复本书”、“只要有一项著项目相异,都应根据各馆的具体规定,或是作为新书重新分类,或是加以某种程度的区分①”。笔者认为,概念“一种书”从狭义上说就是:书名、责任者、版本、版次、版刻、出版者、出版地、开本、页码、装帧、内容等完全相同的书。在这个概念的内涵下,其外延就是一群一模一样
