The HT700 provides an infrared atmosphere control system for the heat treatment process that is optimal for endothermic reactions in the furnace to prevent oxidation and loss of carbon on the surface of the workpiece material. Ash deposition can be avoided with this system, and the heat treated metal has a smooth, bright and even surface roughness. Developed by Analytical Development, the system can be used to control carbon-nitride, non-oxidative annealing and to control carburising and nitriding atmospheres by measuring carbon dioxide in the sample gas at various points in the heat treatment furnace or gas generator.
