1985年中国加入《保护世界文化和自然遗产公约》。经历了30年的发展之后,世界遗产从不被社会所了解的专业工作,变成了具有高度专业水准、各地政府热衷、社会各阶层关注的热点问题。中国世界遗产的数量,从1987年第一次申报世界遗产时的6处,增长到了2015年的48处,已经成为数量仅次于意大利的世界遗产数量最多的国家。在遗产项目上不仅包含了敦煌、长城、故宫等人类创造性智慧的伟大成果,也包括皖南村落、丽江古城、哈尼梯田等活态遗
China acceded to the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage in 1985. After 30 years of development, the professional work in which world heritage has never been understood by the society has become a hot issue with a high professional standard, keenness by all local governments and the concern of all walks of life. The number of Chinese world heritages increased from 6 at the first declaration of World Heritage in 1987 to 48 in 2015 and has become the country with the largest number of world heritage after Italy. The heritage project not only includes the great achievements of human creative wisdom such as Dunhuang, the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, but also includes the livelihood of the villages in southern Anhui, the ancient city of Lijiang, and the Hani terraces
