在‘人民教育’三卷三期和三卷六期上,先後發表了七位讀者對初中語文課本第四册‘背影’一課的批評。‘人民教育’編者也提出了帶總結性的意見。我們完全同意編者的意见,認爲這篇課文對於青年‘是絕對有害的’。故在此書重版時,便把這課取消了。爲了從錯誤中取得教訓,我們還專門開了檢討會。大家認爲:這篇課文,不但在今天說來是有害的,就在朱自清先生寫作此文的當時(一九二○年),也是一篇思想落後的文章。因爲當時,在世界上已經發生了十月革命,在中國剛剛發生了五四運動。而當時年方二十三歲的朱
On the third and sixth volumes of Volume III of the People’s Education, seven readers have successively published criticisms of the fourth book, Back Shadow, in the fourth volume of Chinese textbooks for junior high schools. The editors of People’s Education have also come up with a summary opinion. We fully agree with the editors that this text is “absolutely harmful to young people.” Therefore, when the book is republished, it is canceled. In order to learn from the mistakes, we also opened a special seminar. Everyone thinks that this text is not only harmful to us today, but also an ideologically backward article (1920) written by Mr. ZHU Zi-qing.
