食物纤维对人体的作用是在本世纪后半期的科学研究中引起重视的。科学家们通过几十年的探讨、调查、研究发现,人类至少有24种疾病的发生与膳食中食物纤维摄入量不足有关。常见病有:糖尿病、便秘、痔疮、肠癌、胆结石、静脉瘤、冠状动脉疾病、阑尾炎、疝、肥胖病、循环、消化系统疾病等。人们对食物纤维食用量减少的主要原因,是由于食品的精加工和不重视食用富含食物纤维食品而引起的。西欧、日本等发达国家对此已引起高度重视,提倡国民多食富含食物纤维的食品,以提高民众身体素质,减少疾病的发生。食物纤维是人体消化酶不能水解
The role of dietary fiber in the human body has drawn much attention in scientific research in the second half of this century. After decades of exploration, investigation and research, scientists found that at least 24 kinds of diseases in humans are related to the insufficiency of dietary fiber in the diet. Common diseases are: diabetes, constipation, hemorrhoids, intestinal cancer, gallstones, varices, coronary artery disease, appendicitis, hernia, obesity, circulatory, digestive diseases and so on.
