关于青藏高原在第四纪时期是否曾形成统一的大冰盖?据有关资料记载,是自二十世纪初开始提出,一直争论至今,还未取得统一的认识。由于大冰盖存在与否,不但对高原第四纪研究是一个十分重大的基础地质理论问题,同时它还涉及众多相关学科和边缘学科的重大问题。诸如:全球变化、高原隆升、世界第四纪冰期如何划分和对比、黄土成因、中国东部中低山区第四纪冰川有无、雅鲁藏布江“缝合带”所谓的混杂堆积中巨大的“外来岩块”来自何方?四川龙门山区的“飞来峰”是如何“飞来”的?第四纪大冰期以及地史上出现的其它大冰期,其形成的真正原因是什么?对冈瓦纳古陆、大陆漂移、板块构造等传统概念和认识,也都将提出严重的挑战!难怪当前地学界对此如此关心和争论得如此激烈!
On the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the Quaternary period whether the formation of a unified large ice sheet? Due to the existence of a large ice sheet, Quaternary research on the plateau is not only a very important issue of basic geological theory, but also involves many major issues related to disciplines and marginal disciplines. Such as: the global change, the uplift of the plateau, how to divide and contrast the Quaternary glaciations in the world, the causes of the loess, the existence of the Quaternary glaciers in the middle and low mountains of eastern China, the so-called huge accumulation in the so-called “Braided Belt” in the Brahmaputra, What is the origin of the exotic rock? What is the origin of the “flying peak” in the Longmen Mountains in Sichuan? What are the real reasons for the formation of the “Quaternary Great Ice Age” and other large ice age that appeared in the history of the earth? The traditional concepts and understanding of the Gondwanaland, continental drift, plate tectonics, etc., will also pose serious challenges! No wonder the current geosciences are so concerned and arguing so fiercely!
