Liu Shaodi, male, Han nationality, born in 1930, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, member of the Communist Party of China. 1955 Shandong Agricultural College Department of Agronomy graduated and stayed in school, transferred to Laiyang Agricultural College in 1958. He is currently Professor of Agronomy and Deputy Director of Corn Research. Professor Liu Shaodi from the late 1950s engaged in high-yielding corn cultivation theory and technology. In the 1980s, he proposed a compact maize leaf-value formula and calculated the theoretical planting density of maize using the leaf-direction value.
