Research on Wear Mechanism of Surfacial Build-up Welding Material of Brake Disc for Drilling Rig

  In order to improve resisting performance of heat,wear and erosion as well as anti-thermal fatigue,build-up welding materials of brake-disc for drilling rig with better performance is developed,and its wear mechanism is investigated based on friction and wear characteristic.Topography,constituents and phase structure of wear surface of brake disc is analyzed by employing SEM,EDAX and XRD when the thermal equilibrium temperature is at 150 ℃ and 300 ℃.XRD pattern shows that iron-base solid solution of α-Fe and Cr in build-up welding material has fine property of crack arrest,in addition,α-Fe turns into γ-Fe under frictional heat as well as frictional austenite phase γ-(Fe,Ni)+α-Fe+carbide forms,which improves plastic deformation ability of material and anti-thermal fatigue property of brake-disc.
