The SBgLR is a late pollen-specific gene isolated from potato (Solanum tuberosum L.).It is likely to participate in the processes of pollen development and germination as a microtubule-associated protein. We have demonstrated that many cis-elements take functions in the regulation of SBgLR transcription. The region from-269 to-9 (The A of translation start site "ATG" as +1), including the 171bp of 5 untranslated region (5UTR), was critical for gene specific expression in pollen grains.
