Catalytic combustion of methane has been extensively studied as an alternative to conventional thermal combustion and abatement of methane emissions from lean-bum natural gas vehicles.Palladium-based systems have been studied as the most active catalysts for the combustion of methane [1].Many supports, especially Ce1-xZrxO2, were investigated to improve the activity and stability of the catalysts [2].Conventionally catalytic combustion of methane takes place in oxygenrich circumstance, while few studies have been reported on oxygen-lean condition that methane concentration is much higher than oxygen.
