  Hyperhomocysteinemia(HHcy)is an independent risk factor for atherosclerosis.We have previously shown that T cell activation is involved in HHcy-accelerated atherosclerosis with immunoinflammatory responses.S-nitrosoglutathione reductase(GSNOR)is the key enzyme controlling the intracellular levels of S-nitrosylated proteins,which have been increasingly recognized as important determinants of many cardiovascular activities.
