In this paper,a novel robust detection with low-height objects approach using sparse lasers is proposed.The detection method is consisting of RANSAC and cluster to process 3D point clouds.In RANSAC,it can abstract ground surface and remove it in different driving postures.And in cluster,it can divide points into different groups which represents objects based on RANSAC result.Finally,there is an Formula Autonomous Race car designed by author to make experiment and it had took part in Formula Student China 2017.The experiment to detect cones with race car shows detection performance comparing with different conditions and approach.
