In the past, most of the research on cheating on exams focused on related factors, but also lacked an analysis of the structure of subject consciousness. In this study, self-deception as the theoretical framework to college students as subjects, through a behavioral experiment and experiment-related issues analysis, from the two levels of awareness and subconscious on the cheating behavior of college students were explored. The results showed that 31.63% of the college students cheating in the research sample were moral self-deception. That is to say, awareness and subconsciousness held a contradictory error belief in cheating. Specifically, they did not realize that cheating was not immoral in consciousness, but at the same time Subconsciously think it is immoral.
