紫草乌硷甲经硷性水解得苯甲酸及一胺醇。如将紫草乌硷甲、其醋酸酯或此胺醇之醋酸酯经氢化铝锂还原均得上述同一胺醇,如用酸性高锰酸钾氧化紫草乌硷甲可得乙醛。兹建议此硷之示性式为 C_(19)H_(26)(OMe)_2(OH)_2(OBz)NEt。
Lithospermum argentifolium has been hydrolyzed to give benzoic acid and monoamine alcohol. For example, the same amine alcohol can be obtained by reducing Lithospermum falcate A, its acetate ester or acetate ester of this amine alcohol with lithium aluminum hydride, and acetaldehyde can be obtained by oxidizing Lithospermum falcate with acid potassium permanganate. It is recommended that this formula be C_(19)H_(26)(OMe)_2(OH)_2(OBz)NEt.
