“西天梵相”对西藏本土和明清宫廷藏传艺术的影响 从元代开始,藏传佛教艺术从西藏本土和西夏故地传入元朝宫廷之后,逐渐形成了具有汉族风格特征的“西天梵相”或“西番佛像”艺术,这种艺术反过来对同一时期西藏本土的艺术创作又产生了重要的影响。西藏本土和以元宫廷为首的藏传佛教艺术之间的这种相互影响和吸收不仅繁荣了西藏本土的艺术创作,同时也使内地的艺术创作得到了繁荣。这一趋势同时发展成为明、清两朝西藏和内地藏传佛教艺术创作的主流。
