利用雌性较强的节瓜株系88-1,用加强雌性化的方法进行3代选育,然后用抗逆性强的特选江心节与其连续3次回交,再自交选纯3代,育成了抗逆性强的节瓜强雌系A4。用A4与优良自交系配制组合,从中选出的3个组合在生产上被证明具有明显的杂种优势,已大面积推广应用。以A4作亲本,用瓜中长圆柱形、抗逆性强的A37作轮回亲本,连续转育3次,再自交选纯3代,并利用赤霉素诱导雄花选育1代,育成了抗逆性强的节瓜全雌系A36。用A36与优良自交系配制的组合在品比试验中表现出明显的杂种优势。
