Flake graphite cast iron series include general purpose NPR cast iron and wear-resistant boron cast iron, as well as their improved types, including NPR cast iron H-type and boron cast iron H-type. They are advanced elastic materials with modulus of elasticity up to 11000 kg / mm2. NPR acicular cast iron is a high-strength material in flake graphite cast iron series. This material is still used in Europe on heavy-duty diesel engines.
