Public art is a relatively broad concept. In the 1980s, concepts such as “environmental art” and “public art” were proposed in relation to pure art or gallery art and museum art. Nowadays, the changes in our times require us to re-examine and explore in depth the orientation and concept of public art today so as to define its new characteristics and new roles. First of all, the function and function of public art in modern civil society have been expanded and extended. It has gone beyond the category of traditional art and more closely related to the reality of social, economic, cultural, scientific and technological, folk-custom, and even meteorological , Geographical conditions, which is a new thing that the traditional form of independent artistic creation may cover. I think this is the dividing line between public art and traditional pure art.
