华岗(1903-1972),浙江龙游县人。1924年参加中国社会主义青年团,1925年加入中国共产党,是我国最早的马克思主义史学家、理论家之一。他曾长期担任党、团宣传舆论部门的领导工作,先后创办并主持了《列宁青年》半月刊、《新华日报》和《群众》周刊,并发表过大量有关中国近代史和革命史的重要著述。抗日战争和解放战争期间,他还为党的统一战线工作做出了许多重要贡献。新中国成立后,他被选为第一届全国人大代表,同时担任山东大学校长,并继续从事教学和著述,至1955年蒙冤入狱,1972年瘐死狱中。
Hua Gang (1903-1972), Zhejiang Longyou people. In 1924 to participate in the Chinese Socialist Youth League, joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1925, is China’s earliest Marxist historians, one of the theorists. He has long served as the leader of the party and the mass media in propaganda and public opinion departments. He has successively founded and presided over the “Lenin Youth” semi-monthly, “Xinhua Daily” and “the masses” weekly and published numerous important writings on modern history and revolutionary history in China. During the Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation, he also made many important contributions to the party’s united front work. After the founding of New China, he was elected as the first NPC deputies, at the same time as the president of Shandong University, and continue to engage in teaching and writing, until January of 1955, jailed, jailed for death in 1972.
