This article focuses on motivation, an important factor in this foreign language teaching. First of all, the article elaborates the classification of motivation in terms of both theory and reality. Then, it reveals the importance of motivation in foreign language teaching. Then, it discusses the motivation and preservation of motivation. This article seeks to find out its impact on second language acquisition through research on motivation in order to make better use of motivation to promote foreign language teaching.
