“Lichtenstein 1923-997] and Yayoi Kusama 1929-] all use dots for painting, who affected who?” The question came from the students, but gave me an idea of the impulse. Indeed, Lichtenstein is a pop artist I really like, and in 2000 I was impressed by the color portrait of a dotted woman in the harbor of Barcelona. He moved from painting to sculpture, painting like people, carving like painting. Yayoi Kusama point, not only in painting, more is used in the installation, behavior, many things on the sculpture obscure.
