湖南省衡山县是我国农民运动蓬勃兴起最早的地方,岳北农工会与广东的海陆丰齐名。1927年1月4日至2月5日,青年毛泽东为了用大量事实驳斥党内外对农民革命斗争的种种责难,不畏艰苦,仆仆风尘,亲赴湖南湘潭、湘乡、衡山、醴陵、长沙5县城乡进行调查,历时32天。 Hengshan County, Hunan Province, was the earliest place where the peasant movement of our country flourished. Yuebei Agricultural Association and Guangdong’s Lufeng County share the same name. From January 4 to February 5, 1927, Mao Zedong, a young man, went to Xiangtan, Xiangxiang, Xiangshan, Hengshan, Liling and Changsha 5 in Hunan in order to refute the censure of the peasants’ revolutionary struggles both inside and outside the party with numerous facts.
