作为中国古典小说的巅峰之作,《红楼梦》这一鸿篇巨著在海内外有着成千上万的爱读者,杨宪益和霍克斯等承担起这一煌煌巨著的翻译工作,杨宪益和霍克斯的《红楼梦》英译本各有特色、各有所长。本文借助Glo Wb E语料库,尝试将杨霍两位大师的《红楼梦》英译本中涉及的角色语言在Glo Wb E语料库中进行检索分析,希望能为《红楼梦》翻译研究提供一些新思路。
As the pinnacle of Chinese classical novels, the great masterpiece of “Dream of Red Mansions” has thousands of readers at home and abroad, and Yang Hsien-yi and Hawkes took on the translation of this magnificent masterpiece. Yang Hsien-yi and Hawkes The English version of “Dream of Red Mansions” have their own characteristics, each having its own advantages. In this paper, we use the Glo Wb E corpus to attempt to search and analyze the language of characters involved in the English version of A Dream of Red Mansions by Yang and Huo in the Glo Wb E corpus, hoping to provide some new ideas for the translation study of A Dream of Red Mansions.
