作者通过喂养缺锌饲料建立了缺锌动物模型,发现大鼠缺锌后出现骨钙降低,骨X线摄片显示骨皮质变薄、骨密度降低,同时光镜下可见长骨骺端软骨细胞及肥大细胞减少,肥大细胞变小.由此提示缺锌同样能引起骨钙化障碍,且与维生索D缺乏时的骨钙化障碍表现相似,同时还可能引起软骨内成骨受损,阻碍长骨的增长。作者认为这可能是缺锌所致侏儒的原因。而及时补锌,缺锌造成的骨损害可以治愈.
