《欧洲历史的塑造》(The Shape of European History)是美国著名史学家威廉·麦克尼尔(William H.McNeill,1917-)于1973年出版的著作。威廉·麦克尼尔是美国芝加哥大学教授,曾任美国世界历史协会主席,全球史学派的领军人物之一,已出版的著作计有20多部,其中《西方的兴起》是其成名作。《欧洲历史的塑造》中文版尚未在中国大陆出版,因此,它不像《西方的兴起》那样久负盛名,也不像《世界史》那样流传甚广, The Shape of European History was published in 1973 by the famous American historian William H. McNeill (1917-). William McNeil, a professor at the University of Chicago in the United States, was chairman of the American Association for World History and one of the leaders of the global history school. He has published more than 20 books. The rise of the West is his fame. The Chinese version of “The Making of European History” has not yet been published in mainland China. Therefore, it is not as prestigious as “the rise of the West,” nor is it as widespread as “world history”
