As the U.S. lab on genetic manipulation advances, the U.S. government is making additional investments in these experiments, including basic research funds. This raises the question: In these projects - agriculture, medicine, the environment or energy - Which investment should be financed from the best public funds? There is an unavoidable theoretical and policy question in determining investment in research: How to choose whether to allow a prior or pending study Should priority be given to key projects designed for human life, such as cancer-fighting, urban environmental protection, the conservation of energy in the United States or the eradication of hunger by hundreds of people? Domestic molecular biologists are using genetic engineering - - a technology that is less than seven years old - has tried to solve these problems. The technology used by the Institute of Agricultural Research recently shows that public investment in agriculture is expected to be the most reliable.
