辽代石棺四神题材应用的十分广泛。本文综合相关资料,对此作简略归纳与分析。这类四神图像,主要流行于辽代中前期,首先是在汉人官吏中使用,而后才在契丹上层贵族中时兴起来。其内容不仅反映了佛、道两种宗教的融合,同时也是东、西文化交流的结果。
Liao dynasty sarcophagus God theme is very wide range of applications. This article synthesizes the relevant information, this brief summary and analysis. These four divine images, mainly popular in the early Liao dynasty, were first used by Chinese officials before rising to the top of the Khitan elite. Its content not only reflects the integration of Buddhism and Taoism, but also the result of cultural exchanges between East and West.
