Objective To explore the standardized management of type 2 diabetes mellitus and essential hypertension in the Hakka region. Methods A total of 126 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and essential hypertension in Meizhou urban area were divided into two groups according to the residential community of the patients. The establishment of a standardized management model for management of 63 cases of standardized management group, 63 cases of conventional mode management as control group, The fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2h blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, 24h mean systolic pressure, 24h mean diastolic pressure and body mass index were measured before intervention and 6 months after intervention respectively. The physical exercise rate, rational use rate, Regular monitoring rate, drinking rate, disease awareness rate, smoking rate and satisfaction rate. Results After 6 months of intervention, the fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2h blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, 24h mean systolic pressure, 24h mean diastolic pressure and body mass index both decreased (P <0.05), and the indexes of standardized management group (P <0.05). The physical exercise rate, rational use rate, regular monitoring rate, disease awareness rate and satisfaction rate of the standard management group were higher than those of the control group (P0.05), and the drinking rate and smoking rate were lower than Control group (P <0.05). Conclusions The standardized management of type 2 diabetes mellitus and patients with essential hypertension in Hakka region can effectively control the blood pressure and blood glucose level.
