生姜的镇呕吐作用在《伤寒论》《金匮要略》中大致已有认识,仲景每将生姜或干姜用于治疗呕吐,但实际上干姜与生姜在使用上是有区别的。村井琴山在《药征续编》中说:“孙思邈曾谓无生姜可以干姜代替,然细考仲景用方,生姜主呕,干姜主治结滞之水,两者不可混用”。他还援引成无己《伤寒明理论》“呕者,有声者也,俗谓之晼;吐者,出其物者,故有干呕而无干吐”之说作解释。村井氏的本意是想纠正生姜干姜混同之误,然仅从呕与吐的字义辨正上入手似乎不能令人满意。其
