视频录像是视频监控系统最重要的组成部分之一。视频录像的方式经历了从最初的VHS制式的视频磁带录像机(VCR),到目前普遍使用的硬盘录像(DVR),最终将实现全数字的网络录像机(NVR)或“直接录像到iSCSI”的方式。本文分别针对DVR和NVR进行了介绍和比较,它们的各自热点应用领域,并根据视频监控技术及需求的发展趋势对DVR和NVR的未来发展做出了预测。最后还介绍了最新的iSCSI视频存储技术,及其蕴藏的巨大潜力,极有可能将最终同时取代DVR和NVR。
Video recording is one of the most important components of a video surveillance system. Video recording has gone from the original VHS video tape recorder (VCR) to the now commonly used hard disk video recording (DVR), which will eventually result in an all-digital network video recorder (NVR) or “direct recording to iSCSI” The way. This paper respectively introduces and compares DVR and NVR, and their respective hotspot applications. Based on the video surveillance technology and the development trend of demand, the paper predicts the future development of DVR and NVR. Finally, the latest iSCSI video storage technology and its tremendous potential are introduced, most likely to eventually replace both DVRs and NVRs.
