She was fascinated by the scene of wealth， and couldn’t help accepting Master Edgar’s proposal， which hurt Heathcliff deeply， so he left Wuthering Heights. Three years later， he came back with property， also with his revenge plan. He enticed Hindley to absorb in gamble to make him a penniless， and married Isabella， tormenting her， tormenting Catherine at the same time. Catherine died in childbirth. On her deathbed， Heathcliff came in， expressing their deepest love to each other. After Catherine died， he began to torment those people around him； Catherine’s daughter， Hindley’s son， and even his own son. At the end of the book， Heathcliff died in sadness， with his yearning to Catherine.
