80年代以来,出现了激光唱片(CD,即用数字压缩技术制作的高密度小型唱片)。这几年来,在国内也迅速的兴起,到目前也已“进入寻常百姓家”了。最近发展的一种小型的、边长不到15厘米的薄薄的便携式激光唱机,更是一些年轻人挎在腰上的时髦的“饰物”。激光唱片的基本工作原理大体上是把唱片面根据不同的声音信号做成不同的反射面,激光束照在唱片上时,有信号的部分反射光很强,没有信号的部分反射光很弱。用检测器检出这些强弱信号的数字编码,然后还原成为声音信号,重放出来。
