与电子产品不同,机械产品的可靠性分析和设计尚没有较为完整的方法。同样,与电子产品比较,机械产品可靠性有其许多特点。如:涉及专业面广,可靠性问题复杂;故障模式多,影响因素复杂;故障数据分散;故障大都服从威布尔分布而不是指数分布等。在机械产品的可靠性分析和设计方法方面,更应强调重视利用以往的工程实践经验,制定设计准则,指导产品可靠性设计;不宜采用筛选方法提高产品的可靠性,而应注重故障模式分析和研究,通过对故障机理的研究,采取改进措施来提高产品的可靠性;采用安全系数法和机械概率设计,通过注重产品的维修性和使用操作性、耐环境设计、安全性设计,提高其可靠性。
