Mr. Wu Xiangxiang recently wrote an article in “Biographical Literature” in Taiwan that Yue Fei’s “Azolla” word was compose as a military song in the early years of the Republic of China. Yue Fei was a hero in the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty. He won the admiration and sympathy of his descendants for fighting the outstanding exploits of Jinbing and the “Fengting Pavilion” that he had fled to death. With his protagonist Yue Shu Quan Zhuan, it is even more commonplace for women and children. In the Qing Dynasty, however, Yue Fei was suppressed for a time. Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty even promulgated the ordination that “No one should say anything about Yue Fei and other novels about Yue Fei”
