Helper T cells (T_H) produce different cytokines in the immune response and have an important regulatory role on the nature of the immune response found in mice to produce IL-2 and IFN-γ with little or no IL-4 and T_H1-type responses characterized by IL-5 are mainly involved in the activation of macrophages responsible for killing intracellular parasites, the delayed-type hypersensitivity and the synthesis of IgG2a. T_H2-type responses are mainly generated by IL-4 and IL-5 , Resulting in increased IgG1 and IgE-producing cells and eosinophils.Compared with mouse T_H cells, the patterns of cytokines produced by human CD4 ~ + T cells are both T_H1 and T_H2, and intermediate T_HO.
