Introduction Horizontal converters have been the main equipment of the copper industry since the early twentieth century. However, in recent years, continuous blowing method has been increasing interest. The law can improve the production capacity and overcome the shortcomings of the converter intermittent operation. In 1975, the Nolander Research Center started to study the feasibility of Nolander furnace matte (Cu 75%) spray blowing.
