木文在Sommerfeld的自由电子理论基础上,介绍了自由电子近似模型。并根据此模型用量子力学微扰理论处理金属晶体中的运动电子,得出了能带的概念。指出能量连续分布的区域—Brillouin区,是由电子共有化运动引起的,而能量不连续区域一能隙,是由电子波Bragg反射,即原子实的周期场对电子波运动的干扰而形成的。文中还介绍了一些典型金属晶体的Brillouin区的形状,指出晶体的许多性质与Brillouin区形状和电子填充Brillouin区有关。
Based on the free electron theory of Sommerfeld, Mu Wen introduced a free-electron approximation model. According to this model, we use quantum mechanics perturbation theory to treat the moving electrons in the metal crystal, and get the concept of energy band. It is pointed out that the region of Brillouin, with continuous distribution of energy, is caused by the electron sharing movement, while the energy gap in the discontinuous energy region is formed by the Bragg reflection of the electron wave, that is, the interference of the periodic field of the atom with the movement of the electron wave . The article also introduces the shape of the Brillouin zone of some typical metal crystals and points out that many properties of the crystal are related to the Brillouin zone shape and the electron-filled Brillouin zone.
