由地科联国际工程地质协会组织的国际水工建设工程地质问题学术讨论会于1979年9月13日至19日在苏联梯比利斯召开,有24个国家的278名代表参加。我国派出由电力部、水利部和地质部共同组成的工程地质学家代表团参加了会议。会上讨论了“水工建设中主要工程地质问题预测”、“褶皱地区坝基勘探经验”、“地震构造与水坝工程建设”、“关于坝与水库建设和运营中总体运动问题”、“岩溶和强渗透性碳酸盐岩区坝与水库的工程地质问题”、“水坝破坏和失事的地质 The Symposium on the International Engineering Geological Problems of Hydraulic Engineering organized by the International Union of Geotechnical Engineering of ISLI was held in Tbilisi, the Soviet Union, from September 13 to September 19, 1979. There were 278 representatives from 24 countries. China dispatched a delegation of engineering geologists, composed of the Ministry of Electric Power, the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Geology, to attend the meeting.
